Description:

Gravity Stream is a fast paced 2D Platformer where the gravity switches after ever 2 seconds. That means that you are limited to a 2 second timer to get in  the right position before the gravity switches, either letting you progress or sending you to your doom.

The game is set in a research station that is suspended within a gravity stream, a temporal and spatial anomaly  that causes unstable  gravity that changes within a time interval. You play as a space slug on the station who  is being researched to  see how the gravity stream effects it. It's your goal to make it to the wormhole at the end of each experiment while collecting electric computer chips,  a space slug's favorite snack!

The game is simple to control with the A and D keys moving you left and right respectively, and that's it.  Everything  else is out of your control and dictated  by the gravity time limit.

The Space key is used to start the game from the title screen.

About:

Gravity Stream was made for the 8 Bits to Infinity Time Jam. All art was made by me within GameMaker Studio 2 and Aseprite  while all sounds were sourced for free from Freesound.org. The game definitely follows the idea of a time limit more loosely, as it is more timer based, but I feel as though it still fits the theme as you are limited by the time you have before gravity switches, hence adding in a time limit.

the games really good but very short

Thanks! I planned on making it a few levels longer but some life stuff came up so I couldn't, but that's just the nature of game jams.

Working fine now, sometimes if you start game with a mouse click the keys can fail.  Spacebar works best (need to mention spacebar in instructions

I’m aware of that, it’s an issue that I often encounter when exporting for gamemaker for an in browser build. Currently the only fix I know is refreshing the page but it’s something I’m looking into. Spacdbar added to instructions as well. Thanks!
